BEST customer service experience this weekend at Shoe Science on Mt Eden Road...

I popped in to get some rad new sneakers that will be awesome for my crazy knee and had no idea it would be so much fun!

The deal is they measure your feet and film you walking normally so they can figure out what extra help you need from your trainers then find the appropriate shoe. OHmygosh. FUN!

I swear I tried on about 10 pairs of womans size 7 sneakers - some we ruled out straight away due to comfort/fit and for the remaining 3-4 rad feeling shoes I was filmed and analysed. That left me with two pairs that made me walk amazingly so I picked these rad robot esq runners *:-) Read more about the fitting process here.

And the mad thing is with every shoe purchase you can nab some sports gear for cost price - jahoooo! Got some cute Adidas shorts for $15. Rad yea?!

The MAC side of life - glittertatic!

I have made the switch to the MAC side of life.

I don't know if I'll ever go back.

Honestly - check out this fashion week pic taken by FBTS - combined with their amazing camera and all the goodness of MAC studio sculpt foundation... my skin... totally new look!

And HAVE YOU SEEN the colaboration MAC have done this season with three artists (Richard Phillips, Maria Kalman and Marilyn Minter)? So cool!

I have taken a leaf out of Richies book and looking for more glitter in life - last week the girls at the chancery store had it all through their hair - looked gorg!

Huffer and Miss Crabb at ANZFW

Backstage at Huffer/Miss Crabb

The Huffer / Miss Crabb collaboration was the last industry show of ANZFW 09. Held at Continental Cars in Newmarket a futuristic and super clean vibe greeted guests as they downed their red bulls and greeted a familiar gaggle of fashionistas.

We didnt quite know what to expect of from this strangely perfect collaboration. The result was slightly more high fashion focused streetwear line than the normal Huffer wares. Nice. What warmed my heart the most was the triumphant way the design/styling team took a run down the catwalk arm and arm... ahhh fashion family eh?

ANZFW officially done for the year - A public event "The designer garage sale" is on down at fashion week HQ on Halsey St on Saturday if your after some sweet looking bargains.

A*MUSE at ANZFW

OHMYGOSH! GLITTERTASTIC!

Richie Rich and Pamela Anderson launched their line A*MUSE this evening at a celeb packed event at Air New Zealand Fashion Week this evening. The licious pair earlier in the week said they were just going to have fun and there would be lots of glitter - SOOOOOOOOO want to live the A*MUSE life!

Mega 80's hits kept the very "bubbly" crowd in good spirits as VERY good looking models graced the catwalk - Nicky Watson in a skimpy bikini, cut boys in dimonte speedos and girls in off the shoulder tees. EVERYONE was willlld! Glitter was ALL over the models and before Pam and Richie took their bow glitter exploded from the ceiling *:-) Their bow was deeeeeeeelicious - they strutted their stuff with Richie wearing a pair of sparkly purple rollar skates!

Federation created a mad backdrop of dripping paint at their AW 2010 show this afternoon - models hands were dipped in paint in matching colours - such cool styling!

Michelle Yvette at ANZFW is another for the Fur brigade - gorgeous fur trimmed jackets and full fur blazers. Tuile, roses and Courney Fallow!

Designer Michelle Wilson told us backstage that the fur is possum and she was waiting for the F question!

Stitch Ministry at ANZFW

The Stitch Ministry show at ANZFW was always going to have a little bit of controversy attached - showing on the same day as the A*MUSE show featuring Pamela Anderson, kiwi based knitwear designers launched their line entitled Wahine Bikini that uses merino and possum fur.

I loved the smoky eyes and mane doos - massive quiffs with a twisted braid downt the back of the head - muuuuch animal imagery!

Stolen Girlfriends at ANZFW

I arrived at the Stolen Girlfriends show tonight with DD photographer Alex Thompson after a quick detour home (practically next door) to collect my ticket and an apple and off we scurried with the DD crew to Masonic House on St Benedicts St.

Murphies law would have it that turential rain dropped out of the sky and onto us in the crowd waiting outside the venue - we were then hearded into a holding room inside reminisant of a rugby club. Feeling a little disorientated and confused the fashion pack bought drinks and mingled politely as the anticipation built.

Next we moved up a flight of stairs and after much ticket checking and directing Vickie (Coupe de Main), (designer) Glen Youngnickle and I were seated front row and got to admire the pre show madness. Aja Rock wore a leotard btw! {gorgeous legs that woman has!} Started to get a little restless after a long delay but had to chuckle when the following announcement was made:

" Sory for the delay, someone pissed on the carpet. Just getting it cleaned up and will be underway soon "

ADORED this collection - especially the menswear. Have you seen the twine suspenders? Awesome! Another show for super stylist Karen Inderbitzen Waller - pretty much my hero *:-)

GHD New Gen at ANZFW - gooooo Serena Fagence!

Ahhhhhh my FAVOURITE Serena Fagence made her debut at ANZFW this evening in the GHD New Generation show with 7 other designers!

In a big (and packed) show its easy to get lost in the crowd - The standouts from the show were Serena (Bionic Pixie played on the catwalk while models walked) and Trix and Dandy by Michael Patterson (who started the set with a short video re-inacting the relationship between "Trix" and "Dandy".

I EL OH VEEE EEEH Serena's love for fun garments - if your around ANZFW on Friday morning check out her range at the Showroom 22 pop up showroom. The garments are amazing and quite complex - crazy triangle pieces inserting everywhere. AHmazing.

Pamela Anderson and Richie Rich at ANZFW

Hillarious press conference this afternoon with Pamela Anderson and Richie Rich - the passionate duo have flown to New Zealand to launch their new line A*Muse - created by Richie and inspired by Pam. The line strongly aligns with Pamela's no animal product policy and is environmentally friendly - they even want to create clothes out the plastic island dump! Can you imagine that? Beach boots made from plastic bottles? Fab!

The Q+A was delicious -these two have such a passion for life and all things glittery and fabulous with Richie saying if anyone has a problem with them they can go f*** them selves. Rock on. {and pam got to experience "a strangely erotic"hongi... }

Miramoda at ANZFW

The Miramoda show this morning kicked off with the shocking news that Sir Howard Morison had passed away. A gasp shattered the audience and the tweets went out - followed by a gorgeous waiata before models hit the cawalk. Will find better images of the outfits soon but my gosh I was shocked by the pure beauty of the models.

Kate Sylvester at ANZFW

This was the show I have been waiting to see all week- super genius Kate Sylvester along with wonder stylist Karen Inderbitzen Waller and team did an EXTRAORDINARY job at bringing the AW 2010 collection "Diamond Dogs"to life.

Based on the daring life of Judith "Black Lips" Barawanath this collection encompased luxury jewels, school uniform tailoring, lace slips and leather straps - veeery licious - and VERY well recieved by an audience of die hard fans. Some backstage pics below *(:-)

Trelise Cooper at ANZFW

Backstage at Trelise Cooper.

What an epic performance at Trelise Cooper! Delicious garments and as DD editor Melody mentioned the soundtrack screamed Gossip Girl. Made me chuckle as I was seated next to the GORGEOUS Ruby (NZNTM/C4) and tweeted furiously - felt like signing "ex oh ex oh!"

Looking forward to the TC Kids show tomorow - our invites are in the shape of a kids story book! Visited the habitat for humanity house she is building with her team of all female volunteers - lovely to see the team seated at the show.

I want to live in Trelise land - bursting with creativity and changing the world.
