[and the dream was about me!!!]

If you dream about about someone at work should you tell them about it?

Obviously if the telling could result in a sexual harassment complaint due to content then I would definitely bite my lip and keep the juicy details to myself.

But the other day I dreamt about a girl at work who is in her early twenties and single - but in the dream she was married and 37 - pretty tame really

I honestly would think it quite funny if someone dreamt about me but as soon as started to tell the person it all sounded all wrong -

Hey I dreamt about you last night….

Oh no it wasn't like that - you were 37..

No no I don't think you look 15yrs older than you actually are really…

Where do you draw line about what you say to people?

When could your actions and words be seen as being overly personal in a work setting - do people appreciate this - is it refreshingly honest or just downright creepy?

I am guilty of crossing this line all the time - am I a creep?

I am a girl and thought I could get away with more loose talk but I have noted, on several occasions - looks of repulsion or shock - so maybe this is a sexist attitude on my part.

Please help me before I get punched in the face, or fired.

How long has aych blog been running?

We turned 1 at ANZFW this year - I can't believe all the amazing and inspiring people I have met in the last 12 months!

What is your main focus?

Fashion, People and the Planet.

Fashion fashion fashion - aychblog lives and breathes a yearning for new trends and innovative design and those who bring such delicacies! I love finding out people's stories and what drives them... that in turn inspires me and I love to share that passion with my readers. And I'm super into all things green.

What is the advantage of blogging over traditional media?

Speed and integrity. Take Fashion week last month as an example - within minutes after each show we had moving image, snaps and a brief rundown of each event - plus our tweets and twitpics during the show. By the time that information makes its way to daily newspapers/weekly glossies and then to quarterly mags, it’s not new and fresh.

How has it changed the way we see fashion journalism?

There is a refreshing narrative to social media as it isn't influenced by the same pressures as traditional forms such as advertising budgets, advertorials and product relationships.

We do what we do because we have an ABSOLUTE obsession about our subject. Blogs are FUN quirky and interesting... rather than opinionated pieces written by journos who happen to like frocks.

Rookie 09

The AUT Rookie show was held this evening at St Pauls in Auckland City - a breath of fresh air in the New Zealand fashion world *:-) The Rookie show is an event that showcases an extraordinary year for the AUT Bachelor of Design - Fashion graduates. I asked many a Rookie this evening about their year to mixed reactions - all looking forward to a well deserved early night!

Best dressed goes to:

Blaire Archibald - AW2010

Blaire Archibald's "I shot you with silence" collection warmed my heart - Blaire's quirky appreciation for texture and proportion is delicious. Excellently executed - cohesive pallete and beautifuly constructed pieces.

Glenn Yungnickle AW2010

Glen Yungnickle got a reacution on the runway with his AW2010 range depicting the journey of the swag man. Details were inspired by victorian menswear - but in varying shades of red/choral. I'm in el oh ve eeeeee!

Olivia Benefield

Oliva Benefield used scans of her baby Noah at 20 weeks as the base print for her collection depicting "The bond between mother and child explored through Tension and Release" - oversized draped proportions twisted and shaped in ways that highlighted different areas of the female form.

Lan Ching Fu AW 2010

"...curious amalgamations of metal and cloth" epitomises designer Lan Ching Fu's graduate colleciton - the most AHmazing creations - I loved the waistcoat created out of metal links attached to a jacket back *:-) Please can I order now!!!

You got served... via TWITTER!

I am lucky enough to hang around a bunch of lawyer folk most of my week so this story made me chuckle - the High Court in England has alowed a court order to be served via twitter! THIS IS A BIG DEAL!!!

The issue = Someone has set up a fake @blaneysblarney account on twitter impersonating Donal Blaney the right wing blogger/comentator. Ahhhhhh! Major intelectual property issue. AND what a way to serve the court order which requests the tweeter to reveal their identity and stop the impersonation!

The BBC reported that: " UK law states that an injunction does not have to be served in person and can be delivered by several different means including fax or e-mail." Ahhhhh sooo interesting.
