P.S - I made this!

Ahhh after a few days of rest I have plowed into some crafty projects. Christmas saw me chilling with my Mum which equaled finding old projects still to be finished.... (!) Here is a wee fairy I'm working on...

I chatted a bit with creator Erica Domesek about where this "call to action to re-imagine, re-use, and re-invent" came from:

"I've always been making things.. personally and profesionally for fashion/lifestle clients.The past year I decided to get my friends together for a Craft Club- and started filming on teen.com and working with lots of fun renowned fashion brands for fun DIY collabs for big fashion week events and other fashion/lifestyle programing."

Christmas bells

What a lovely Christmas day - nothing like brilliant sunshine and an afternoon swim!
(Look at how pale I am! Goodness me, bring on summer!)

My fam is real into their humour and this Christmas lunch was no different. My Grandad is a really funny guy - I feel I must be getting old (slash spent many a meal time with him) as I knew nearly every Christmas cracker joke! Good times and much laughter x

STELLAR night last night but I ended up ariving home sans keys + in Jean's heels.

It seems Cinderella left her new killer heels AND keys locked inside. UG!

After a kip on the couch I woke up to Aucklands fashionable filtering into the back garden of The Palace for the first of the summer sales.

What a beautiful greeting!

The Style Hive

The LOVELY Nina of The Stylve Hive recently interviewed me for her Wellington based blog. I love this little ramble from her profile:

I am a blogger from a place online merchants don't even ship to- a windy place with under half a million in population plus a decent postal system.

SECRET #1 It is beyond me why some stores just won't ship to where I live. Por ejemplo, Studio Homme. Maybe they have never heard of Ueligtone? Have they never seen Middle Earth on the silver screen?

SECRET#2 My bags keep my darkest and funniest secrets. They sometimes get away when I'm digging for my Dragée Juicy tube.

SECRET#3 Wellington is a place very close to my coeur. I feel like it is the only place it is acceptable to speak trilingual while intoxicated and still be loved. I can stop stunners on the street and ask for a picture and feel love. I can lose a vintage Gucci wallet (run over by cars on Willis street on a yet winter day) and have it returned to me. ONLY IN WELLINGTON, I say.

I grew up in Wellington and remember Saturday mornings around with my Oh-So-Trendy Mum - she would drink a latte while explaining the concept of brunch all while dashing around running erands.

My little brother and I would always dawdle as we got closer to the fountain hoping to be there when the water came crashing down - SO mesmerizing!

7. What are your other non fashion related obsessions?

I LOVE movies with a passion and watching dectective mysteries with my Grandparents *:-)

And Im obsessed with all things relating to the tv series "One Tree Hill" - I plan on marrying Lucas Scott one day :-)

Good question... What about this scenario...

Flight of the...

O dear me! The Flight of the Conchords boys have called it a day announcing there will be no third season of their HBO show. ****:-(

The announcement was made via their website:

"We’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season.

We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it.

While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist."

I first met the famous lyrics of Business Time and The Robot Song via youtube on a friends couch in downtown Toronto. I was missing the simpleness of Kiwi life and Bret and Jermaine reminded me of so many boys I went through school with!

Now, seriously its 2/3weeks till Christmas!

The MOST amazing gifts you can give this year by giving to others. I'm a fan of Oxfam's un wrapped gifts - how AWESOME is it to be able to buy a family in Papua New Ginea a goat for $47?

Last Christmas I got a desk and chairs, some ducklings and clean drinking water - soooooooo cool to give and recieve these "gifts that give".

As Oxfam say, doing good never goes out of fashion *:-)

I LOVE KELLY JIN! Let it be public! She is the super cute girl who politely asks to take your photo, carries a notepad and is always clad in imaculate attire. MYGOSH I am blown away by her extensive knowledge of FASHAWN. I feel I would like to be her.
