I'm still processing Lee McQueen's death so please know I'm unsure how to post today and please forgive my absense yesterday.
*The next few lines are a bit disjointed but I feel there is some beauty in this.
As a student I studied his journey, his collections and the development of his style that sat outside the realm of reinvention.
His work, life and attitude were the highest standard I had for my own baby dreams and ambitions. Knowing how hard he worked to achieve such greatness will continue to be the benchmark for my career.
I have had beautiful conversations with a friends this weekend about the wonder of creativity and how often this genuis comes with a price. I do not say this to complain but rather rejoice in the wonder and insight this gifting brings.
As a creative community may we always persue greatness.
And may our dear Lee rest in peace.
