May I present the winner of New Zealand's Next Top Model Cycle 2 Danielle Hayes!
I am still a team-Michaela supporter BUT Danielle you will achieve great things ♥
Much aroha as you start this new adventure!
What did you think of this weeks episode? I loved that it was madly tweeted with "Elza" trending world wide at spots 9 and 10! I also loved the mini interviews with judge Sara Tetro in the lead up to elimination - gorgeous woman.
p.s. Danielle, way to put Kawerau on the map!

I can hardly contain my excitement! In 3 hours the finale of NZNTM Cycle 2 airs here in New Zealand.... Who will it be? Danielle? Michaela? Elza?
I spoke with TV3 earlier in the week (in the hopes of getting a few tidbits of juicy news) and what I can relay is that TV3 are hosting a party for the final 5 at the The Langham tonight and they will be tweeting via @NZNTM throughout the night including a few snaps.
I am told there are plenty of suprises in tonights episode!

One more week till the NZNTM final! Cycle 1 reduced the competition to two girls for the final whereas this year the final will include all three remaining girls competing for the top spot. Hopefully this will make for a juicy final!
Thoughts on last weeks episode? Go-sees are always my favourite challenge! I was disappointed with the photo shoot lighting set in the beautiful Glassons Fashion Fairground (Newmarket). A beautiful store + great product + the final four *should* = great images. This week we said goodbye to Miss Courtnay after she failed to receive any bookings in the challenge - chin up guuurl!
5 SLEEPS TO GO!!! Who will it be? Is Danielle an obvious choice? The final includes a "walk off" and judging previous episodes Michaela has the strongest walk.... I can't WAIT!!!

Dear Internet,
I love you. I feel that our relationship has been one way of late - you provide me with the tools to do new things yet I have been writing notes with pen and paper, spending time with friends and cuddling up with a good book at the end of the day.
I promise to make it up to you.
Your favourite,
Hannah xx
I had the privilege of attending the FINZ "Fashion Without Borders" conference today and goodness I am bursting with all sorts of ideas/passion for both the local New Zealand and international fashion markets!
Robert Buckingham of Mr Buckingham and consultant to The Future Laboratory shared insight into the framework within which trends will develop over the next decade ("the turbulent teens") and explained the presence that e-commerce must take in business development over this period.
[Zoe Walker interviewed Robert earlier this week for the New Zealand Herald- click here to read]
Coupled with presentations (by Donna Bradley (WGSN) + Sebastian Marino (77 Pieces)) and panel discussions (on the digital revolution and the future of New Zealand manufacturing) my brain will surely explode before I fall asleep tonight!
The key idea I have taken away from today's presentations is expressed in the quote "Experience is the new commodity" (from The Experience Economy). Both at a store level and an online level customer experience is key. And of course attendees were reminded that bloggers are radically transforming the sphere in which we seek and find trend approval. Much to digest!
A huge thank you to Paul Blomfield, Mapihi Opai and team for your leadership and amazing organization!
Be sure to bookmark the FINZ website - it is packed full of great resources and has many new elements planed for arrival over the next couple of months.
Horaaay for the Fashion calendar! If you are in Paris for the ready to wear collections I am incredibly jealous. Thank goodness for the internet *:-)

I have some incredibly good looking friends! Last Saturday was Gary's 22nd birthday so we had a wee picnic in the Domain. Thanks Jenny for the photos! P.s. Like my pretty silk shirt? Kindly donated to le wardrobe by my Gran! (I think the polka dot skirt came from her too...)
