Pink Shirts are a symbol of HOPE today

"Pink Shirt Day aims to show that bullying is not OK and won't be tolerated. By encouraging the people of New Zealand to wear a Pink Shirt on the 14th of April 2011 we can help to raise awareness of bullying and show the massive amount of people who support taking a stance against bullying and believe that bullying should not be tolerated anywhere no matter what the reasons or circumstances are."  -  The PINK SHIRT DAY

I'm wearing this pretty pink thrifted blouse, M.A.C Wonder Woman lips (Athena's kiss) and Revlon (Plum Seduction) nails to show that queer youth are often targets of bullying and it is NOT OK.

You can get involved with the Pink Shirt Day letter writing campaign here, download "BULLYING STOPS HERE" banners for your profile pictures here and get chatting on Twitter with these hashtags:  #pinkshirtday #bullyingstopshere.

If you are a young person in New Zealand and going through some tough stuff get connected with Youthline or to have a chat with someone about what's going on. A trouble shared is a trouble halved!

Also, curious is a neat website full of resources for queerying youth and Rainbow Youth offer a variety of support services and resources.

WALK TALL LITTLE CHERUBS!!!
