After 5 days of rinsing and storage in the dark I let my little sprouted kernels into the sunlight today and look at all the dark green shoots that emerged in 8 hours:

I think I may have overcrowded these little gems I'll give the next crop a little more room to breathe...

NZ Herald published just before noon this morning that TV3 will produce a third season New Zealand's Next Top Model hosted by Sara Tetro with judges Colin Mathura-Jeffree and Chris Sisarich.  

Auditions take place in March.

Get practicing your runway walk girls!

Could I have a side order of fabulous?

I said it last season and I'll say it again a Vivienne Westwood boy is my kind of man! Check out these images from the Fall 2011 catwalk show. Fabulous and quirky with a middle finger up in the air approach to proportions and tactility (yes tactility is a word.. I thought I made it up but it really does exist!) Westwood remains one of my style icons.

Rosie's maiden voyage

Happy New Year!

I have been away travelling Northland in a Bedford housebus with a group of amazing friends ♥

We made many new friends along the way in the form of roadside mechanics, (we had a couple of break downs - the pic above is of break down number one and the pic below is the mechanics we spent the night at) policemen (who were all so helpful and amazing), locals and a few waifs along the way who we welcomed on board. 

Highlights from the trip:

1. Watching sunset and sunrise at Cape Reinga - amaze!

2. Living the hippy vibe. 

3. Learning to Hula from an professional instructor who parked next to us at Cape Reinga.

4. We ate like Kings and Queens.

5. New Years countdown on the side of the road close to Whangarei with a punctured tire. BEST countdown ever :-) We made a cuppa tea and did a dance and rescued a lost dog all on the same night!

Lowlight from the trip:

1. Epic sunburn. Not fun. Vomiting and blisters = super gross.

Dream your own reality

I got a lovely email a little while ago from Anya at we'ar introducing me to their yoga clothing label. 

As a recent convert to the practice of yoga I was excited to find out a bit more so I went on a wee adventure to check out their store on Cross St in Auckland. 

The label was started by yoga practitioner Jyoti Morningstar who designs  in New Zealand and oversees the production in Bali. I love that the intentions behind design decisions are made in line with yoga principals e.g. "made ethically using fabrics that support the body and don't harm the earth".  

Isn't the store gorgeous? 

Pots of wheat grass + wooden shelving + white concrete walls = my ideal apartment!
