Highlights:
1. Salasai took the first spot on the show schedule today and they totally nailed it. Boy do they know how to make a shirt! Along with telling an interesting story and incorporating canary yellow into a winter collection, their garments were immaculately finished. You would think we would see that from every designer on the catwalk right?

2. Mayor Len Brown stood up from the front row to help a model who fell on the catwalk at the Charlie Brown show this afternoon. My heart always skips a beat when a model wobbles! TV3 captured the incident.

Artist: Kiekie Stanners
3. Stolen Girlfriends Club know how to do a fashion show: Invite your guests to an unusual venue, give them a few drinks, call them to their seats via an entertaining announcement and then show them some cool clothes on the cutest models in town. I'll do a range review on this one soon!

Not-so-highlights:
1. Declining manners. I'm publishing a post about it in the morning. Prepare to LOL.
2. Cultural appropriation. It makes me queasy. Representation of diverse identities in popular culture is wicked but not in a colonizing way. Especially not when operating within a capitalist framework. Sigh.
Remember you can check out all of the days action in video form in the box above. How cool is it that TV3 have hooked me up with this widget? Yay, you can consume it all in in one place!
Tomorrow sees just a few events on the calendar before the doors open to the public for Fashion Weekend over Saturday and Sunday. Tune into my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds for chatter in real time *:-)
